MS Choctaw in Education

Educational Excellence

With the largest American Indian educational system in the United States, the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians clearly values all the ways education can benefit its Tribe and its future. From Early Head Start to college scholarships to adult education, every member of the Tribe receives outstanding opportunities to learn and grow.

Just take a look at the solar car that the Mississippi Choctaw High School team built and raced in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia this year. These students’ ingenuity, ambition, and technical abilities are truly impressive—and reflective of the community they come from.

Real-world skills have a real impact.

The Tribe’s high schools provide many kinds of vocational training, ranging from culinary to electrical skills. Our community college on the Reservation (as well as many nearby) offers a variety of classes and certifications. If your business has specific skill needs, we can customize specialized training to enhance your workforce.
